Skilled Nursing
Skilled nursing is needed when you or your loved one requires a licensed nurse to manage, observe, or evaluate your care. Inside Bixby Knolls Towers we are proud to offer skilled nursing care in Bixby Knolls Healthcare Center. Our nurses are compassionate, well trained, and they truly care about each resident.
At Bixby Knolls Healthcare Center, our onsite Director of Nursing oversees all aspects of healthcare within the community. Our community creates a model environment for nurse training, and we have in-house, ongoing continued learning courses and CNA training programs.
To ensure each resident receives the care they need, we provide:
- IV therapy
- Wound care
- Respite care
- Catheter care
- Nutrition & hydration programs
- Medication management & education
- Restorative nursing
- Pain management
- Hospice program
- Bowel & bladder programs

- Diabetic management and education
- Foot care program
Diabetes Management
Our nurses work with residents to take control of their diabetes. They help monitor blood glucose levels, administer and track insulin, and provide education. Our hope is that our residents will leave us with better control over their diabetes care.
Dietary Program
Our Registered Dietitian designs our dietary program with the residents in mind. We follow physician orders to meet the needs of each resident while making sure the meals are enjoyable and full of flavor. We also administer oral supplements, as prescribed by physicians, and our Registered Dietitian provides regular nutritional assessments.
Activity Program
At Bixby Knolls Healthcare Center we believe events and activities enrich our resident’s lives. We create a fun, uplifting environment where our residents can be social, get involved, and enjoy their favorite hobbies and activities.
